career aptitude

In the days before choosing my class schedule, when I had free time I was a career aptitude test junkie. I found this test today though and I think it is definitely most accurate. Here are my results : )

Best Occupational Category

You're a CREATOR

These original types place a high value on aesthetic qualities and have a great need for self-expression. They enjoy working independently, being creative, using their imagination, and constantly learning something new. Fields of interest are art, drama, music, and writing or places where they can express, assemble, or implement creative ideas.

Those two catergories are me, basically to a T. And the major that I decided to choose is...... drum roll please... ELEMENTARY EDUCATION. Wasn't that your major all along you may be asking? Yep. However when I was picking my classes yesterday I made sure I had variation and creative outlets. I am taking Clothing Construction to satisfy my love of clothes and fashion, I am taking Photography because I feel really passionate about it and I really want to improve. I am also taking an Aerobic Technique class, and by the end I will be certified to teach aerobics, which is perfect because I've been somewhat of a pilates junkie since the age of 15. So I am taking all those classes along with the classes I am taking for Elementary Ed. I am really excited!!! This will be challenging and so much fun, and I do love a challenge.

Today is relax and write my essay for my housing scholarship day, do some laundry day, and possibly figure out how to clean this carpet floor of my bedroom with no vacuum day. Nobody has carpet here! Nicki and I's bedroom randomly does. That is something that I miss is clean carpet that is all cushiony and being able to just lay down on a floor.

Since I have made it past the halfway point I am going to tell you things that I miss about the states that you should probably be grateful for.
1) cushioned church benches
2)baking isles with tons of frosting and brownie mixes : )
3) MY BED... I sleep on a trundle bed which lives under Nicki's bed. I'm sorry Trundy but you lack in areas of comfort and also convenience.
4) MY OWN ROOM... I don't know if I've ever shared a room before. This roomie experience is different!! I am so used to having my own Kayla Space.
5) the washer dryer combination.. and also dishwashers..

But honestly that is about it.. I it soo much here... the weather my students the food the people.. wouldn't change it for anything!!!!!
